Client Challenge
E-cat handling is done through an exclusive system with a catalyst unloading funnel. The equilibrium catalyst bags unloading system downstream manifold to E-cat hopper is located far away, and the piping configuration leads to choking of piping and interrupts the unloading. At times it even results in blowing off catalyst from the unloading channel.
Purpose
It is proposed to modify the piping downstream of the E-cat bag unloading facility. The proposed modification is such that the number of bends on piping is reduced and pipe joining is given the buffer of a catalyst pack at the connection in the flow direction to avoid erosion.
